Forcing registration...
I'd like to urge people to register without making it too much of a hassle if they don't. Can anyone think of some incentive to register....
My first thought was to make all the item/npc/spell search features only available to registered users but that would be very annoying to have to log into look items up every time.
The other thought was pop up adds for non-registered users... but that is pretty annoying too... anyone have any idea?
possibly a raffle for membership among registered users...

Put an IP access + cookie soft limit on your PHP database queries. Maybe make it so unregistered users can only make 3 look-ups per IP every 24 hours? I don't think that'd be an annoyance, I think that'd be reasonable since you're paying for bandwidth.
