I went ahead and implemented the item popups on all of the game search pages. Hover over the "ITEM" symbology here:

Pretty much anywhere an item is linked you should see the "ITEM" symbology next to it. It's slightly different on graphs and on the recipe page. For graphs you hover over the bar/slice to see the preview. On the recipe page you hover over the box the component is in. If you click the "ITEM" symbology the preview will stay up.

They may need additional coding if any problems becomes apparent, and there is a chance I'll have to remove them depending on how they perform now that it's fully rolled out.
