Did you ever get the macro to work? Any macro? Is your MQ2 directory located in a folder called C://documents? Can you type that address into explorer and view the contents of that folder without win7 giving you errors? To me, it looks like MQ2 is fighting with Win7... and losing. If so, MQ2Events won't work either.

it really does seem like a system issue. It's not my laptop it's my girlfriends and her profile isn't set up as admin so I believe that's probably going to be the problem. I think I'm going to change some things on the box and see if it fixes.

i am surprised you even got everything to load on a non admin in the program files folders.

move everything to c:\eq

C:\EQ\MQ2
C:\EQ\EverQuest

at that point nothing needs to be ran as an administrator.
