New Features this Month
I've been going down my todo list this month, adding new features to the gamesearch pages. Figured I'd do a round up. I still have some things to add, but I figured a month deep was a good point to check in. If you have an idea of something to add, or see an issue with one of the new features, please, please, please let me know! There's an issue with popups refreshing slowly and showing previous data; that's a known issue yet to be addressed.

Popups:

Most item links now let you hover over them to see a popup. See it by hovering over the ITEM icon here: http://mqemulator.net/spell.php?id=10711

Spells do it also, hover over the SPELL icon here: http://mqemulator.net/item.php?id=25210

NPCs also do it, hover of the NPC icon here: http://mqemulator.net/zone.php?name=permafrost&view=npcs

Factions do it also. It attempts to show a screenshot of the main NPC on the faction (most of the time) and a handful of NPCs that use that faction. Hover over the FCTN icon here: http://mqemulator.net/npc.php?id=159690

Coordinates do it but they show a small popup map with the coordinates marked. Hover over the LOC icon here: http://mqemulator.net/npc.php?id=113071&view=spawnlocations

In the case of the ITEM, SPELL, NPC, FCTN and LOC, if you hover it shows the popup, if you click it locks it on the screen until you close it or click another popup. This is a little squirly on mobile. The first touch of the icon counts as a hover, the second touch counts as a click. That's not very intuitive but I haven't decided how to fix it yet.

Recipes do something similar but it's an expandable tree list that dynamically loads the content so it goes as deep as you need it to go. The number in the circle is the count needed, count produced, or the number of charges after the combine. Click the + icon to the left of the recipe name here: http://mqemulator.net/fullsearch.php?iname=cured%20silk&view=recipe

Counts:

Most pages now show a count of how many results are going to be on the page. Before you'd do a lot of clicking on the menu links only to find the next page had 0 results. You can now see that in the menu on the left, see numbers in the side menu here: http://mqemulator.net/item.php?id=13076

On the popups (see the section above) the counts show up as blue or gray icons at the bottom of the popup, or beside the item names in the case of tradeskill popups. For example the item popup has a blue/gray skull. If the skull is blue it means the item is dropped by NPCs, hover over it to see how many NPCs drop it, and click it to view the names of all the NPCs. If its gray, its not dropped. There's a learning curve with the icons but it's a good way to pack a lot of info in a small space. See the skull here by hovering over the ITEM icon: http://mqemulator.net/spell.php?id=10711

You can use those counts as a search filter for items and NPCs. So for example you can search for only items that drop from and NPC, or items that do or don't spawn on the ground. View here under the "Source" header: http://mqemulator.net/advsearch.php?view=item

and for NPCs its the bottom 4 fields here: http://mqemulator.net/advsearch.php?view=npc

You can sort the results by the counts also. They're a little hard to see but space is at a premium. I think once you get past the learning curve it'll be okay. Hover over them to see a description. See the 6 new sortable icons in the table header here:
http://mqemulator.net/items.php?listall

and 4 new icons in the header here:
http://mqemulator.net/npcs.php?listall

Other:

Added another view to the faction page. The two old views showed npcs that raise, and npcs that lower the current faction. The new one shows NPCs that use the current faction as their primary (con-faction). View here: http://mqemulator.net/faction.php?id=336&view=primaryfaction

Changed the recipe page. On the general info view you could see the containers as a popup, which was a little anoying and the limited the space made it not possible to have a popup showing where the tradeskill container can be found. I broke it off into it's own view and added LOC/ITEM popups, see here: http://mqemulator.net/recipe.php?id=1423&view=containers

Added another filter for the spell->castby view. It used to show spells on an NPCs list, even if they were to low level to cast the spell. This greatly reduces the size of the list: http://mqemulator.net/spell.php?id=2167&view=castby

Added the same filter to the npc->spellscast page. It used to show spells even when the NPC was the wrong level to cast it: http://mqemulator.net/npc.php?id=158006&view=spellscast

There used to be an advanced item search AND and item search. That was a compromise because the advanced search had some slow queries. I figured a workaround for the latency and merged the search pages into 1 comprehensive one: http://mqemulator.net/advsearch.php?view=item

The zone->dropitems page was showing nothing, apparently for a long time, and then I "corrected" it, but that left it displaying the results for the wrong zone. It's been fixed a 2nd time now and should be right: http://mqemulator.net/zone.php?name=cazicthule&view=dropitems

And what I think is the most anoyance-correcting thing ever, I turned auto-correct OFF in the toolbar search at the top of the page.

The Recipe->Success Chart view wasn't displaying for the last month or two, that's been corrected: http://mqemulator.net/recipe.php?id=2566&view=successcharts
